What about kids?
Children of all ages are part of the worshipping community. Some parents may wish to take advantage of our Nursery, for children up to age 3, or our Church School. Both Church School and a Nursery are offered at 10.30 a.m. We recognise that some parents may prefer to keep their children with them in church.
Children can sometimes become restless during the liturgy. Christ Church has Activity Bags available; and we also encourage parents to feel free to get up and walk about, to feed, or otherwise intervene as they would at home.
Children at Christ Church are treated as full, communicant, members of the worshipping community, and every effort is made to give them meaningful ways to contribute to our common life.
Are you accessible?
Yes – and we’re getting better. At present, the worship space and main floor of the program wing are wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible washroom.
Christ Church is currently engaged in a Renewal Project which will vastly improve the accessibility of our building, through the installation of an elevator, the construction of curb cuts, and compliance with other related provisions of the building code.
We also recognize that accessibility extends to meeting the needs of the visually and hearing-impaired. We pay attention to fonts and font-size in our printed materials, and we have audio-assistance devices available.
