realities in life are hard to capture in human language - like the gift of life,
of love, or the nature of God.
Where words fail, the church uses the language of symbol and the gift of sacrament,
or the "outward and visible signs of God's inward and spiritual grace".
Sacrements often mark important milestones in the Christian journey, and Christ
Church cares deeply about this.
We are here to help: you
do not need to be a "member" of the parish - we exist to build up
and serve the whole community.
We welcome inquiries about baptism, confirmation, weddings and funerals from
anyone who seeks Christ in their life.
Christ Church Office
a part of our mission to build up the Body of Christ and to welcome all
people - from infant to adult - into that Body through the sacrament of
baptism celebrated in the name of The Holy Trinity; Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. We practice "open font" - meaning that all who desire
baptism are welcome to find it here.
When a person is ready
to take their next step in a mature commitment to a life of faith and
recieving the sacrament of laying on of hands by the bishop in confirmation,
we are happy to walk with such individuals and to help them prepare in
the journey of life long learning.
The decision to enter
into a new beginning by joining together with a life partner is a wonderful
blessing. Christ Church cares deeply not only about a wedding day, but
about the success of a happy, life-long marriage. We are glad to walk
with you well beyond your wedding day.
When a loved one dies,
it is very important to understand that the Christian community cares
deeply not only about sacred ceremony, but also about loss, grief, recovery
and healing. You are most welcome to ask for help in times of loss.
