Baptism Baptism is the rite by which one is initiated into the company of those who believe the Christian gospel. Confirmation The Anglican Church realises that the desire and need to recommit to the vows of baptism can occur more than once in our lives. Reconciliation/Confession The Anglican Church provides for, and encourages, individual confession. The Anglican rule about confession is, “All may; none must; some should.” Marriage In the Christian tradition, marriage is a covenant; and within the Christian tradition, covenant is the normative basis for human relationships. Death To help an individual prepare for death, and to assist in commending that person to the life-giving love of God, is one of the Church's greatest and most sacred privileges.
